Copyrights and images from Marilyn Monroe's first photo shoot sold for $352,000 at an auction!!!
Julien's Auction's
spokeswoman Caroline Galloway tells "The Associated Press" on Sunday that the Monroe photos — taken in 1946 when she was still Norma Jeane Dougherty — were the highlight of the Beverly Hills auction known as "Icons & Idols"
The photos come with negatives and the rare right to sell and distribute them. A judge in September ruled they must be auctioned to settle debts of photographer Joseph Jasgur.
Marilyn Monroe is still a legend! I can't think of an artist that sells too much for so many decades!!! She is soo gorgeous!!! I can't think of a person who doesn't adore Marilyn!!!
Well, on the other hand I always wondered what kind of people buy so rare ( and because of that!) expensive collectibles.
But the most important question is what in most cases do with these special items...
In this case this is definitely a privilege to resell it...But inside an obsessed collector's mind to resell
these amazing items ( I suppose!) is out of the question!
