Jessica Simpson Was Sued For Gaining Weight!!!

When you hear about celebrities fighting a legal battle over a video they don't want anyone to see, your mind usually goes straight to a sex tape.

notyourdarling: 100 PEOPLE I LOVE → JESSICA SIMPSON “It’s important for women not to find their confidence in a man. I think you really have to know who you are before you can truly fall in love and give your all, and I don’t think a man can define you. You have to own that. So if you’re ever with anyone who says you should change something about yourself then they should never fall in love with you in the first place.”

However, when it comes to Jessica Simpson, the video in question is an exercise tape shot in 2005 that is still the center of an ugly legal dispute.

"Jessica did an exercise video about losing weight [that was never released] and instead she chose to gain weight and cash in on it," Alex Astilean, CEO of SpeedFit claims.

Yep, it’s true! Jessica Simpson is pregnant — and she finally announced the news on Halloween with a cute, pun-tastic photo at JessicaSimpson.com on Monday. Dressed as a mummy and holding her already-famous baby bump, Simpson, 31, writes, “It’s true, I’m going to be a mummy!” The baby-to-be will be the first for the singer and designer and her fiance Eric Johnson. Simpson has been the subject of baby speculation for months, thanks to an increasingly undeniable baby bump sported during recent outings in L.A., NYC and elsewhere. Yale grad and former NFL pro Johnson, 32, proposed to Simpson back in November 2010 after about six months of dating.

Astilean also believes he has new evidence that Simpson never wanted to be the spokesperson for his exercise tape in the form of an interview the singer did with Lucky magazine in which she explained that gaining weight was good for business.

Simpson was reportedly paid $500,000 to make the exercise tape but her camp argues that SpeedFit did not produce a suitable final product.

After years of legal disputes, Simpson won and Astilean was ordered to pay her business manager for defamation. But the fitness company CEO isn't letting Simpson off the hook.

"I am asking for a new oral argument and this time will be represented by a law firm," Astilean says. "I strongly believe the Supreme Court will prove I am right."

A spokesperson for Simpson had no comment.
